On Monday, October 28, the starting gun sounded for the season's first race in the NECON Winter Carousel. Fana Stadium was packed with over 1,000 finishers – the highest number recorded in 5 years! This delighted Frode Vatnelid, NECON's regional manager.
“It’s incredibly exciting to see so many different people eager to take part in the NECON Winter Carousel and complete the season's first race,” says Vatnelid.
The NECON Winter Carousel consists of eight recreational runs from October 28, 2024, to March 31, 2025, with a choice between 5 or 10 km for each race. Participants can join as many races as they like, with no obligation to register or withdraw from week to week. All races are held on Monday evenings every three weeks, with start and finish at Fana Stadium in Bergen.
